Pursuing a Successful Retirement with our Professional Advisory Services

While every situation is unique we believe that a disciplined approach to investment management is the key to a successful retirement. You can count on us to always:

  • Focus on the long-term: Chasing returns is a common investor mistake. We seek out investment opportunities that offer the most potential for long-term performance, based on your individual risk tolerance.
  • Manage your risk: Your investments will be diversified across a broad selection of asset classes, giving you a balanced exposure to a variety of different markets.
  • Maintain diligent oversight: We know nothing ever stays the same, companies change, economies change and of course markets change. The Townsend-Managed Account Program (T-MAP) is an active investment style with the objective of participating in market gains and limiting losses in declining markets.
  • 401(k) Advantage®: Do you find it difficult to keep up with current market conditions? Would you find value in advice on when to reallocate your portfolio? That’s exactly how our 401(k) Advantage® center works. We provide you allocation recommendations and notification to reallocate your account based on economic and market conditions.

Our investment selection is based on not only competitive advantages they may have but for investments that we believe will stay competitive. Our investment committee researches, tests and scrutinizes everything from strategies, costs, risk, management stewardship and long-term performance. We are focused on fundamentals and are more patient with short term underperformance. It has been our experience that if you concentrate solely on short-term performance you would constantly be chasing returns which often leads to being whipsawed back and forth, in other words buying high and selling low.

Townsend Managed Account Program: Benefits and Highlights

The Townsend Managed Account Program (T-MAP) is an excellent strategy designed to assist in building, managing and preserving your wealth.

The T-MAP is a portfolio management program offered by Townsend Retirement Specialists (TRS). Through this program, advisors of TRS assist clients in establishing an account with Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services.T-MAP allows TRS to manage your investments in a completely unbiased fashion. This means that we do not have relationships or reason to sell any of the investments or companies within your account. Our only obligation is to you, the client. In addition, your account is liquid.

When you invest through our T-MAP program we have a vested interest in your success because our compensation is tied to a percentage of your account value. In other words, the better you do the better we do. Should you decide to close your account our compensation ends. Our management fee is automatically deducted from your account on a monthly basis.

TRS uses a state of the art, comprehensive performance report system to help you track the success of your account. This can be accessed 24 hours a day through our website.

All accounts are carried by National Financial Services (NFS), a Fidelity Investment company, and are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) up to $500,000 (including cash claims limited to $100,000). An explanatory brochure is available upon request or at www.sipc.org. National Financial Services has arranged for additional unlimited insurance protection for cash and securities to supplement the SIPC coverage. Neither coverage protects against a decline of the market value of securities.

T-MAP offers you access to over 6,000 mutual funds from some of the most recognizable fund companies. TRS does not charge a commission to buy or sell these funds*.
